FAI Cup First Round 25 July 2021

College Corinthians play League of Ireland Premier League side Bohemians FC on Sunday 25th July, and are looking to create an upset against the Dublin side. Kick off is 3:00 in Turners Cross, with the match having been moved due to Covid requirements and to ensure the maximum number of fans could attend the game. Tickets for the match are available from Eventbrite here. For those who cant make it to Turners Cross, the match will be streamed live by LOI TV. Corinthians come to the match on the back of good form in the Keane Cup, winning all three games, against Midleton, Avondale United, and Cobh Wanderers. Manager Joe Gamble can dream of victory but knows that giant killing is a hard task for an amateur team playing professionals. “Our philosophy is to just enjoy it. We want to showcase how good we are as a team.” Coach Gary Hackett wants the players to relish the opportunity of playing against one of the most successful Irish teams. “We want the players to go out and enjoy themselves and then see how the game plays out.” To highlight the differences between the teams, Bohs visit Cork after their successful mid-week exploits in the third qualifying round of the Europa Conference League as they ran out 1-0 winners over F91 Dudelange of Luxembourg on Thursday evening.

The match programme is available here.
