Blarney Utd. 0 Corinthian Boys 3
We maintained our 100% league record with a comfortable 3-0 win away to Blarney. We began brightly and Alex Minihane continued his scintillating form with the opening goal after 5 minutes, a well taken effort from the edge of the Blarney box.
Despite this good start and having numerous chances to build on our lead the score remained 1-0 at halftime. In the second half we picked up the tempo and our passing was quicker. The second goal arrived when Ricardo finished off a brilliant flowing move which began with a free kick on the edge of our own box and ended with Scott Philpott slipping Ricardo in who made no mistake to give us a two goal lead. The same player added a third soon after and the points were made secure. Best in the day were Alex Minihane, Sean Dunlea and Daragh O Connell. Up next is a crucial game away to Ringmahon Rangers.
