Former Corinthians Schoolboy star in Glasgow Cerltic squad
Former Corinthian Boys schoolboy player Eoin O' Connell was on the bench yesterday for Glasgow Celtic as they defeated Hearts 2-0 in the Scottish Premier League. Eoin who is still only eighteen has made a huge impression since he arrived at Celtic two years ago and has been a regular member of the Celtic Under 20 side which has played in the Under 20 Champions League over the last few months.
Eoin joined Corinthians as a six year old and always looked a special talent playing centre forward for Corinthians Under 11's when they lost out in the National Cup final to St. Joseph Boys 2-1 back in 2005 / 06. Eoin was actually playing a year above himself at this stage and subsequently reached two National Cup semi finals with his own age group as well as winning several league and local cup medals with Corinthians. His older brother Andrew also played schoolboys with Corinthians before joining Cork City.
Another former Corinthians schoolboy star David Meyler continues to impress in a Hull side that is currently mid table in the Premier League, David recently scored against Liverpool and was outstanding in Saturday's 1-1 draw away to West Brom
