Former Corinthian Schoolboy Players getting ready for new season in Barclays Premier League and Scottish Premier
David Meyler has had a fantastic couple of years with Hull City initially winning promtion to the Premier League in 2012/13; he was a regular in the Hull City side which made such an impression last season and played in the FA Cup finla against Arsenal. This week he lined up for Hull in their Europa Cup qualifiers. David also was part of the Republic Of Ireland Senior squad and was outstanding against Italy in a friendly played prior to the World Cup.
David joined Corinthians as a six year old and was part of an outstanding Club side which included four schoolboy internationals and won numerous league and Cup trophies in the Cork Schoolboys League.
Eoghan O' Connell
Still just 18 years of age Eoghan O' Connell has made a huge impression at Glasgow Celticand made his full Premier League debut last season against Ross County. He will be hoping for more opportunities this sesason as well as catching the attention of the Irish Under 21 manager. Eoghan like David Meyler joined Corinthians as a six year old and won numerous trophies with the Club. He was a team mate of Brian Lenihan in a Corinthians under 11 side which loast out 2-1 in a National Cup Final against St. Joseph Boys
Evan Galvin moved from Corinthians to Burnley in 2012 and despite a serious injury has recovered well to make a huge impression at Burnley. Earlier this year it was confirmed that Evan was to be signed on a Professional contract for the new season. He has also featured on several Republic Of Ireland Underage squads. Evan's brother Corey is currentlly on the books of Ipswich Town and both lads were part of a fantastic Corinthians schoolboy team which won the League and Cup double every year from under 12 to under 16
