Ringmahon Rangers 1  Corinthian Boys 6

Corinthians clinched the Premier Division League title with another superb team performance as they overcame Ringmahon Rangers on a 6-1 scoreline. It has been a great effort by all concerned starting with the management trio of Mark Redmond, John Meade and Craig Donnellan who have been supported by a fantastic set of parents and finally a talented and very committed bunch of players.

This is Corinthians third title in a row which is a special achievement as to win one title is extremely difficult but to win three Premier League titles marks the group down as a very special one.

The goals in today’s game came courtesy of  Robert Geaney O’ Brien (3), Jack Leonard (2) and Daniel Squires with the successful squad

College Corinthians 5 – Greenwood 0

The U15 Premier team  had a comfortable victory against one of their strongest opponents in Greenwood. The lads took a while to settle in to the game and allowed Greenwood time on the ball, however Greenwood did not really threaten.

The team, when they put their mind to it were well in control, with Jeff Holden and Fionn Molloy causing problems for Greenwood in midfield. On 15 minutes a fine pass from Fionn set Adam Idah down the right wing, his cross was met with a fine finish from Dara Connell.

The half finished with Corinthians leading by the 1 goal, Greenwood came out with renewed enthusiasm at the start of the 2nd half but again did not really create any chance of note. A free kick from 35 yards out, taken by Scott Philpott came in over the keeper and finished in the back of the net. This knocked all resistance out of Greenwood and another goal quickly followed scored by Adam Hunt. Corinthians continued to dominate and finished with 2 more goals from Adam Idah & Ricardo Dinanga.

The Players and Management would like to wish David Fox a quick recovery from a season ending injury and hope he will be back in time for he start of next season.

The team are away to Lakewood next Saturday in the league.
