Ringmahon Rangers  0  Corinthian Boys  3

Corinthians started slowly in this encounter with 3rd placed Ringmahon. The home side were well up for this game and created the first opportunity when their no 9 crashed a header against the post from a corner.

Having survived this early scare Cors settled down and got their passing game going. They were now looking the better side and it was no surprise when they took the lead in the 20th min. A great delivery from a Ben Weldon free kick was finished smartly at the back post by Alex Healy Byrne. Cors doubled their lead a minute before HT when the excellent Ben Weldon scored direct from a free kick after good work by Tom Kelly.

With the elements in their favour for the 2nd half Corinthians dominated the game but Ringmahon still asked questions of a well organised defence in which James Fox was outstanding. With Evan Collins and William Buckley on top in the midfield the lads extended their lead with 10 mins to go. Great link work by Rory Barron and Fionn Crowley resulted in Fionn cracking home a great 3rd goal and ending the game as a contest.

Another good performance by the whole squad with other notable performers in Donnacha o Callaghan , Shane Tobin  and Fionn Crowley.

Corinthian Boys  7  Buttevant  1

Saturday morning started like a Doctors surgery, phone call's from parents, players sick and unable to play, one away, one needing to go early and another on International duty, the squad were going to be fully tested, but just like other important fixtures this year, they raised their performance. Accutane helped me – the skin ceased to be oily, and pimples almost disappeared. But, unfortunately, apparently my skin got used and the drug stopped helping, the subsequent use did not give any results. Then I became older and acne started to disappear.

With just 8 minutes gone, a great pass from Scott Philpott found Fionn Molloy, who would torment the full back all day, he cut inside from the left, his initial cross was fired onto the bar rebounding to Daragh Connell who's shot found the net. The same Philpott Molloy combination struck again in the 13th minute with a fine left finish by Fionn.

Continuing a recent run of super goals, Jeff Holden hit another looping shot over the keeper on 16 minutes, followed 2 minutes later by another run by Daragh Connell who found Fionn Molloy at the back post for the 4th goal. A moments hesitation in defence allowed Buttevant to score which was unfortunate for Cathal Hynes who had his best game since joining Corinthians. Cathal pulled off a number of fine saves during the game stoppng some certain goals.

If Buttevant thought they had a break at half time, they were soon brought back to reality with 2 goals in 2 minutes straight after the break, another shot by Dara Connell and then a defence splitting pass from Leo Barron to Ricardo Dinanga, who dinked it over the keeper for number 6.

The introduction of 2 U14's Matthew Healy and Jack O'Brien did not bring any relief to Buttevant as the attempts on goal continued for the remainder of the game. The scoring was finished off by Alex Minihane after a fine individual run, finished with a shot to the corner.

League action continues next week with an away fixture to Ringmahon.

Squad: C.Hynes,  J.Holden, L.Edwards, D.Connell, A.Hunt, D.Fox, S.Philpott, J.McFall, L.Barron, R.Dinanga, F.Molloy, A.Minihane, M.Healy, J.O'Brien
