Douglas Hall  0  Corinthian Boys  7

A fine team performance by Corinthians the highlight of which was the performance of striker Harvey Skieter who scored four on the day, Denis paul (2) and Robert Quirke were also on target.

Cor Boys A  2  Mallow Utd. 2 (Mallow won 5-4 on pens)

Corinthians 13A went very close to the major National Cup upset of the 2nd round. Despite the 18 place league difference it was Corinthians A who took the game to the much fancied Premier Division side Mallow United from the off.

The visitors must have been taken aback at the pace of Corinthians play from the start. Aaron Clarke's goal after 15 minutes was Corinthians 3rd or 4th effort on goal. In a cameo of what was to become a real dig-dong of a game Mallow scored almost from from the restart. By half time Corinthians had put together 3 more serious attacks on the Mallow goal all of which deserved a bit of luck. 3:1 would not have flattered the hosts. However it was Mallow stung by the prospect of an early exit that came out fighting their extra tempo gave them a one goal cushion early in the half. However any thoughts that they would then go on to finish of Corinthians were soon dispelled when Luke O'Donnell served up a tremendous solo effort beating 3 defenders to finish calmly. Mallow were back in front again within minutes but this thriller wasn't done yet. When the excellent Conor O'Sullivan headed a cross from the right into the path of the onrushing Eoin Murray he met it on the half volley leaving the keeper stranded.

Both sides had chances to close it out in regulation time but didn't. In truth no one wanted to see this end such was the titanic battle unfolding. A further 20 minutes of extra time could not separate them either with both sides feeling they could have edged it. And so to the lottery of penalties. With both teams out on their feet it was always going to come down to the tiniest of margins and so it was with Mallow holding on 5:4 in the shoot out.

Division 1

 Cor Boys A   3  Castleview 3

In an exciting contest Cor Boys A showed great character to come from behind to earn a share of the spoils. Cors started slowly and fell two goals behind in the first five minutes; however to their credit they battled back and were level after 25 minutes with Marvin scoring twice. Castleview got their noses in front again just before half time but once again Corinthians showed great heart and equalized with a fine strike from Liam Mc Grath. In the closing stages it was Corinthians who looked the more likely winners with Alex Whelton going close to snatching a winner. Gary Farkes, Tom Higgins, Alex Walsh, Stephen Samuel and Fiachra Twohig were outstanding for Corinthians.
