Corinthians came from behind to earn a well deserved point against Rockmount on Friday night. Despite a missed penalty early on Corinthians had more than held their own throughout a very competitive contest, however it looked as if the points would go to Rockmount when the scored in the 85th minute. To their credit Corinthians piled forward in the closing minutes and Richie Cronin was on hand in the final minutes to fire home an equalizer from close range

The Under 14 Premier team warmed up for next weeks National Cup game with a comprehensive win over a weak Riverstown team.

The team were able to score on a regular basis with Jeff Holden scoring a fine shot form the edge of the box after 5 minutes. he was joined on the score sheet by Adam Idah, Ricardo Dinanga, Killian McGowan.

In the second half Scott Philpott, Mark Hill and Fionn Molloy all joined them in scoring.

The team have a last 32 game in the National Cup away to Maree-Oranmore in Oranmore at 2pm next Saturday .

Local Cup

Corinthians won this local cup match with ease, scoring 5 goals in the first 25 minutes. Andrew Greany opened the scoring in the sixth minute and a quick fire Ben Lucey hatrick finished the match as a contest. Luke Healy added the fifth before half time. Springfield scored twice in the second half but James Walsh wrapped up the scoring with a well struck shot from the edge of the box.
