Corinthian Boys A  1  Lakewood Ath.  3

The U12 D3 put on a great display of team football in their National Cup fixture against premiership side Lakewood.  They went into the halftime with a 1-0 lead after a great team goal scored by Roger Timon.  Following some half time changes Lakewood piled on the pressure in the second half leveling the game in the early stages.  Despite conceding a second goal the lads from Corinthians continued to pressure Lakewood and had some good chances to equalise the game.  A third goal in injury time sealed the win for Lakewood.

Final score 3-1 to Lakewood.

National Cup

Midleton A  2  Corinthian Boys A  1

Corinthians were unlucky to exit the national cup to a game Midleton side, conceding a goal after six minutes put the boys on the back foot from the off. The lads looked quite lethargic for the first twenty and it appeared like we were in serious trouble. However with the defence starting to settle cors looked more and more like the team they are. A fine penalty save from Odhran Murphy after a dubious decision kept us in the game and the lads fancied their chances with the wind at their backs for the second half .However it wasn't to be and although Corinthians had plenty chances on target they all lacked the power to beat the Midleton Keeper .A second goal for the home team looked to have wrapped up the tie until a James Adrninian Shot was parried into goal by a Midleton hand. The resulting successful Adam Callanan Penalty gave the boys hope but the final whistle came too soon. A special word for Adam Casey who played the full match smothered with a cold.

Cian Jones, Shane Twomey and James Adrninian all played well for Corinthians
