Under 12 A's Get the better of Premier Division Lakewood Ath/

Cors Boys A 1 Lakewood 1 (Cors won 4-3 on penalties)

Corinthians qualified for the next round of the local cup when they overcame Lakewood's premier team in this thrilling cup tie. In a game which could have gone either way, Corinthians midfield dominated the early exchanges with Alexander Harley in particular causing problems for the Lakewood defence with his darting runs from midfield. However, lakewood created the first real chance but were denied by a superb save by Max White. Corinthians scored the first goal just before half time when Luke healy calmly scored from the penalty spot after Ruairi Moriarty was brought down in the penalty area.

Both sides had chances in a fiercely contested second half and it looked as if Corinthians were going to win the game when Max White made a great save and Daniel Kelleher put the ball out for a corner after Lakewood had been awarded a penalty kick for hand ball. However it was not to be and Lakewood's centre forward scored the equaliser in the last minute after a well timed run from midfield.

Neither side could break the deadlock in extra time and Corinthians finally emerged victorious after a penalty shoot out. Luke Healy, Brian Kenelly, Ben Lucey and David Cotter all scored for Corinthians but it was man of the match, Max White who proved to be Corinthian's hero with a full length diving save which put Corinthians through to the next round.
