Following their fantastic achiebement in winning the Munster title (see below) Douglas under 12's did their parish proud again today when they played superb football to overcome a highly fancied Lucan side from Dublin on a 3-0 scoreline. Goals from a Shane Cotter penalty, Jack Anthony, and Brandon Idah and a superb team performance from the entire squad ensured Douglas made it through to the final. The side which is coached by Cormac Cotter, Michael Nason and Adrian O' Leary will have the best wishes of everyone in Douglas when they take on Clarinbridge from Galway in tomorrows final kick off 2pm

Douglas Community games team won the Munster title for the second year in a row when they got the better of Kerry and Limerick opposition to clincj the title in fine style.

Douglas had already defeated Parteen from Clare in the quater Final (6-1) to confirm their place in todays semi finals and they were again in scintillating form as they got the better of Ballyduff 3-0 in the semi final and followed up with a superb 3-1 victory over Regional from Limerick in the final.

The team now goes onto the All Ireland finals in mid August when they will hope to win the title for the first time. Well done to all concerned, to the coaches Michael Nason, John Meade and Cormac Cotter and to all the squad on a great effort in bringing the Munster title back to Douglas
