Cors Under 14P Prepare For Sunday’s National Cup Semi Final Against Castlebar Celtic

Following their highly dramatic 1/4 final victory over Bonagee Utd. at the weekend our Under 14 Premier squad have little time to rest on their laurels as this Sunday they are back in action in the semi final when they have home advantage against Castlebar Celtic with the game kicking off at 12.30pm. It should be another cracker with Castlebar Celtic fresh from a 5-0 win over Mervue Utd.in the quarter final. They present top class opposition for our lads and this game could go right to the wire. The management trio of Mark Redmond, John Meade and Craig Donnelley will be hoping that the experience gained on the route to last year’s final will stand to our lads.

 The team suffered a blow earlier this week when Jack O’ Brien was ruled out with a broken bone in his foot which he picked up in last Saturday’s quarter Final win over Bonagee Utd. However Corinthians will be hoping that the dept of their squad will help to cover for Jack’s absence. It is a good few years since we had a home National Cup Semi Final and hopefully blessed with some good weather a large home crowd will turn out to get behind the lads;

The National Cup fixture is the highlight of some fantastic action at the weekend with the seniors away to Avondale, 16’s & 17 Premier at home to Mallow and Mayfield on Sunday while the 12 Premier have a potential league decider against Douglas Hall kicking off at 2.30pm. There is also a number of Cup matches over the weekend which depend on Midweek results
