Corinthians win under 15 Premier League Title

Corinthians Under 15 squad clinched the Premier league title this morning with a hard fought 1-0 win over Douglas Hall, it was a deserved victory for our lads who have had a superb league campaign; unbeaten and  winning the title with two games to spare. Great credit for the success must go to coaches Stephen Bermingham and Colm Bermingham assisted by Jim O' Mahony and Pat O' Brien and to the entire squad all of whom have contributed through out the league campaign which started back last August. A big thank you also to their families who have given the team great support; turnout at training all year has been fantastic and has laid the foundations for this success.

Given the heartbreak that the squad endured last year when despite winning 17 of their 18 league games they lost out in a playoff for the title to an excellent Midleton side, the success was well deserved and worth waiting for. Even more so when one also takes into account that the team loast six players to League Of Ireland football with Jack Anthony, Robert Walsh, Elyas Eshaji and Ramon Gasara going to Cork City and Brandon Idah and Gavin Ryan going to Cobh Ramblers. However Stephen and Colm managed to rebuild the squad with several new lads joining the balance of the existing squad and they haven't looked back.

Thoughts will now turn to their National Cup Semi Final in two weeks time when they have home advantage against Bohemians from Dublin, certainly a game to look forward too.
