Cors Under 15 Premier need one point to clinch Title

In one of the few matches played on Saturday, the U15 Premier Team played an away game against Lakewood. In a match in which the weather conditions played a huge part. Corinthians played  with the aid of a strong wind blowing diagonally across the pitch, playing conditions were difficult and both teams found it hard to control the ball. There were no real chances in the first half, apart from an indirect free kick from inside the Lakewood box but which Corinthians failed to convert.

In the second half, Corinthians played much better football, playing in to the wind it seemed to suit them much more as they could control play and passed the ball very effectively. Jeff Holden had a superb game in midfield scrapping for every ball and making some fantastic runs, he was ably assisted by Fionn Molloy. Dean Harte was another who had a brilliant game with offensive and defensive runs on the right flank.

Adam Idah eventually broke the deadlock 10 minutes into the second half with a fine left footed finish across the keeper, another goal followed 5 minutes later from Adam Hunt after some fine link up play from a number of players. This finished off the game as a contest and leaves the team with 3 away games to finish off their league programme.

Next weeks game is a home Local Cup match against Kilreen
