Under 12 Schoolgirls record important win

In an absorbing contest which swung from end to end throughout Corinthians just got the better of Lakewood to claim three vital league points. To keep their interest in the league alive Corinthians had to get the better of league leaders Lakewood and they didn't get the ideal start as Lakewodd took the lead early on with a fine strike by Orla Nevin. Corinthians responded well to this early setback and goals from Jessica Byrne and Meagan Dennehy had Corinthians in front by half time. The second half was a tense affair with Ali Brady and Sheila Kearney commanding two solid defences and Corinthians were happy to play out the game and secure the 2-1 victory. Well done to both teams on a fabulous contest. Corinthians now need to defeat Wilton in their final league game to force a play off with Lakewood for the league title.
