Under 15’s win Premier League title to make it five Premier League Titles for the Club

Team 6

It has been a wonderful week for the Club with the Under 13 and 14 Premier sides adding league titles during the week to the titles won by our under 12P & 16P sides the previous week, however our under 15 Premier side had been denied the title during the week when they played out a thrilling 3-3 draw with reigning champions Wilton. This left Wilton needing to win their final two games to force a playoff with Ray Couch's squad.

However Wilton fell at the first hurdle today when they went down 2-1 to Carrigaline meaning that Corinthians could not be caught at the top of the table and were champions. Congratulations to Ray, Mick and all the squad, despite some stutters in recent weeks they had played some magnificent football throughout the season and were deserving winners.

Commiserations to Wilton and their manager Brendan O' Sullivan, they have been a magnificent team over the iast two years, indeed this was their first defeat (other than penalties) in two years, a fantastic record and one they should be very proud of.

This victory meant that Corinthians had won the five Premier League titles from under 12 to under 16, It is hard to imagine and certainly something that nobody in the Club saw coming. Great credit is due to all the players at all levels of the Club who represent the Club with great pride and to their coaches under the expert guidance of Coaching Coordinator Stephen Bermingham, their commitment, skill and interest in the development of their players has made this season possible. We have also had plenty of good fortune on the way but without it you seldom win anything so a big Congratulations to everyone involved
